CCTV Lenses
A good lens is a must if you want a good picture, but you must also choose the right lens to ensure that your exact needs and requirements are met.
Cam-tech consultants will spend a considerable amount of time determining the level of coverage you require by using scientific calculations rather than the common "finger in the air technique" used by many other CCTV installation companies.

Use IR/Colour corrected CCTV lenses
Cam-tech strongly recommends that IR/colour corrected CCTV lenses be used not only when using IR-illumination at night time but also with colour/monochrome changeover cameras. Many light sources include a part of IR-light, small or light. In connection with monochrome- or day/night CCTV cameras IR-corrected lenses will provide a sharper picture because all the light is focused, resulting in a far crisper picture compared to ordinary lenses. Sunlight contains much IR-light, but also many artificial light sources, especially halogen. Also, ordinary incandescent light bulbs include a considerable amount of IR-light. When having illumination with a mixture of visible and infrared light, it is possible to obtain a considerable improvement of the picture reproduction without having to replace the camera - just by replacing the lens. So there are excellent reasons for using IR/colour corrected CCTV lenses in all environments.
Vari-focal CCTV lenses
By using variable focal length CCTV lenses stock levels can be reduced and the installation is simplified.
The focal length can be changed on these CCTV lenses until we have exactly the picture content you require. Thereafter you use them exactly as fixed focal lenses. Vari-focal CCTV lenses are a little more expensive than fixed focal lenses, but they have the advantage of supplying exactly the picture you want. These CCTV lenses are available with IR/colour correction.
Motorised lenses
Motorized CCTV zoom lenses are specially suited for moveable CCTV cameras (PTZ) as the focal length, i.e. the viewing angle, can be remote-controlled. The wide range of motorized zoom CCTV lenses will cover nearly any application.
Motorized zoom CCTV lenses are specially suited for moveable cameras (PTZ) as the focal length, i.e. the viewing angle, can be remote-controlled. The wide range of motorized zoom lenses will cover most applications.
These CCTV lenses are in fact equal to vari-focal lenses, except for the important difference that when you change the focal length, focus is maintained. This is not the case - and not needed - for vari-focal CCTV lenses. Since motorized zoom CCTV lenses are more expensive, they are normally only used when the focal length needs to be changed on a regular basis.
