New Paxton Net2 Nano For Installation In London, Kent & The South East
Often the most problematic and time consuming part of installation is the network required to connect the door controllers back to the administration PC.
The Net2 nano control unit makes this extremely easy by replacing a wired connection with a wireless one. Simply connect a Net2Air USB bridge to the Net2 server PC and it will pick up and communicate with the Net2 nano control units within range.
If the range needs to be extended then it can be done using a Net2Air Ethernet bridge. Plugging one of these into the network creates a whole new wireless zone into which Net2 nano units can be placed. We recommend a limit of 10 Net2 nano control units per Ethernet or USB bridge and a maximum of 200 Net2 nano control units per site.
The Ethernet bridge is a Power Over Ethernet device so that (network switcher allowing) no separate power supply is required. However, we do provide a power supply just in case. There is, of course, a secure pairing procedure to ensure that nobody else can connect to your control units. Net2 nano wireless technology is low power and secure.
It has been developed by the same people that brought us Wi-Fi and has been specifi cally designed to co-exist with Wi-Fi for use in buildings. Net2 nano will continue to work securely if the wireless connection is lost. So even if your wireless connection is experiencing temporary problems, Net2 nano won’t let you down. The wireless range will depend on the specifi c environment but is typically 10m from the Net2Air bridge in all directions (maximum 30m).
Paxton have also developed the Net2Air site surveyor kit; an essential tool which Cam-tech uses for testing wireless signal strength quickly and easily.
Net2 nano, Net2 plus and Net2 classic can be mixed on a site. You can choose the best control unit for each situation.
