Access Control
Add to Information BasketThe systems installed by Cam-tech in London, Kent & the South East will keep your buildings, staff and assets secure. From one door up to hundreds of doors across multiple sites, we have a solution to suit your needs. Cam-tech install and maintain many different makes of Access Control systems however one of the most popular is Borer. We would like to take the opportunity to introduce to you some of the benefits that implementing a Borer Access Control solution can offer your future projects. The benefits include...
80% energy savings
Substantial energy savings can be made using Borer’s power management and energy delivery systems. Competitive door access products typically consume between 15 to 20 Watts to control a single door equipped with a fail safe electrical release. Compare this with the less than 2 Watts required by a Borer intelligent reader and electric release combination using Borer’s “intelligent power” delivery system and energy saving lock technology.
Less infrastructure
The delivery of both power and data over CAT5e structured cabling means that you don't need to install a mains spur at every door. With the provision of a mains spur typically costing around £100-£150 , considerable savings can be made.
Less equipment to deploy
Typical competitive systems require a reader head, lock, data cable and mains power spur as well as a control box and power supply installed at every door. Borer only need a CAT5e cable, electric lock and Borer’s intelligent reader to ensure maximum security. Consequently, there is up to 80% less equipment to install resulting in lower maintenance charges and less to recycle at the end of the system’s life. Faster installation and easy to maintain With less equipment to install and all installation work undertaken at door handle height, you can avoid the restrictions associated with installation engineers working at heights, resulting in faster installation and easier maintenance.
Enhanced aesthetics
The Borer intelligent reader provides a complete single door access control solution in one reader head. This means that you only need minimal wall space at each door and there is no unsightly control boxes or mains power spurs. The Borer intelligent readers have a minimalist design with a small footprint which will discreetly fit in with most surroundings.
EU Environmental Directives
The Borer access system has been designed to comply with EU environmental directives including RoHS (2002/95/EC) and WEEE (2002/96/EC). Our ‘Clean Design’ philosophy meets all the requirements set out in the imminent EuP Directive (2005/32/EC).
ATRACS from Borer
ATRACS is a scalable Access Control system which can grow from controlling a single site to an enterprise wide solution covering many sites, all connected via the user's own IP network, with almost unlimited numbers of access points and cardholders. Client-server architecture enables access doors and barriers, at many sites, to be controlled from one database. Technologies supported include biometrics (e.g. fingerprint recognition) and a range of cards and tokens including magnetic stripe, bar code, Wiegand as well as several standards for proximity and smart cards.
Many Functions
- ATRACS access control has many functions including anti-passback, single-manning, full audit trail, guard tour, elevator control, etc. Web based with personnel finder and roll call functions.
