In December 2006, the Disability Discrimination Act was amended and imposed a reasonable adjustment duty on landlords and management companies to ensure that disabled people, particularly those with a hearing impairment, were not disadvantaged at the point of entry to premises.

Works with existing panels

EntryLoop from Cam-tech is easy to install with simple wiring it can be retro fitted to the majority of existing door entry systems by a simple connection to the loudspeaker output. Clear and inclusive, available in surface and flush fitting formats. The visitor is able to clearly hear conversations by switching their hearing aid to the ‘T’ or telecoil position which then picks up a signal transmitted by EntryLoop over a magnetic field. This signal cuts out the majority of extraneous background noise making communication far easier for the hearing aid wearer.

Recognised symbol

The visitor is easily able to identify the availability of the loop facility by the provision of the internationally recognised symbol on the EntryLoop unit.

Attractive but robust Constructed from high grade stainless steel and provided with a modern ‘brushed’ finish, both types of EntryLoop unit are attractive additions to the door environment.

Installation is simple and neat, whether as part of a new-build project or refurbishment of existing facilities.
